Where to eat when in New York
So I spent three months in New York and I tried many different places for food and of course sweets. Many of them are the perfect places to visit when you are on a budget. So let's begin!
I lived in Astoria Queens, which is a place full of great restaurants and places to snack! A very alive neighbourhood from day to night. Here is a list of the finest places to visit there:
-"Il Bambino" the ultimate panini and crostini experience! (my favorite is the egg salad panini)
-"Milkflower" right next to "Il Bambino" and the best pizza in town!
-"Salt and bone smokehouse" for a lovely exican style corn on the cob!
-"BZ Grill" for a Greek style souvlaki!
-"Astoria Comfort" Best brunch in Astoria alongside "Sugarfreak"
-"Bagels on the ave" Since I ate bagels all the time for breakfast, "bagels on the ave" is a true new york bagel with a big selection in bread and fillings!
Manhattan is the center of the world, as I see it and it's full of restaurants! I didn't try them all of course but here are my favorites:
-"The Smith" it is a fancy restaurant, a bit pricy but totally worth it! The steak is amazing and it's perfect to eat here before a broadway play for a true New York City experience!
-"Black tap" Omg!!!!! The milkshakes!!! dreamy Instagram worth posting milkshakes! There is always a line so you better book a table in advance!
-"Chop't" The salad temple! I am not a salad person but here I stuffed my face in salads with amazing dressings!
-"Whole Foods" When you want a big buffet with lots of options and good prices.
-"Levain Bakery" A bakery with huge delicious cookies!
-"Sylvia's, queen of soulfood" The place to eat true Soulfoud! Chicken and wafles and cornbread! It is in Harlem so walk around before or after to see the legendary Apollo theater!
Enjoy!!! #bwzenia
